The doors to Café Robineau open at 9am sharp serving delicious breakfast dishes up to 11.30am. An early start is recommend on Saturdays as we have a regular crowd coming in for their breakfast, coffee and a read of the weekend newspapers.
Our most popular dish by far is the Robineau full English pictured above and comes with a potato rosti topped with sweet cured back bacon and eggs of your choice, herb and sun dried tomato sausage, tomato and a grilled mushroom filled with Nigel Alderson's homemade black pudding and toasted Robineau bread.
Now if you wish for something lighter we have bacon sandwiches, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and our bakery basket to select from filled with our freshly baked artisan morning goods such as croissants, cheese scones, fruit scones, almond croissants and pain au chocolate.
Another favourite and typically French is our French toast. For those who have never tried it we make it from our own brioche with is soaked in sweetened ‘eggy bread' mixture made from milk eggs and sugar, then pan fried and served with a warm berry compote.
It is not essential to book a table however if you are travelling from a distance and there are a few of you we can take a reservation. Our peak time tends to be from 10.30am - 12 noon.
